Hey everyone! I’m back with one of my dressing room posts where I show you something that would look great on a woman with an apple-shape and a big-bust though I didn’t actually purchase it and bring it home, though I was tempted!
This really pretty blouse is from JCPenney. Yes, I loved it and yes, it looked great on me, it’s just that I don’t have an occasion to wear this blouse and I don’t have a bottom half to go with it, except jeans. They even have it in plus size.
It’s navy blue with white and tan flowers, though they have it in several other prints and colors. It dips lower on the sides and has the really pretty cuffs.
To me, it seemed like a shirt for a more dressed-up affair, so I could see it paired with a long skirt and boots. Or you could go totally casual and wear it with jeans (either white or dark-washed blue). It fit well in the bust though I was at the max (36HH). It glided well over my midsection with no evidence of my waistband from my leggings showing through. The flounce at the bottom gave it some trendy fun ruffles without looking too young.
Like all the other items in this series, I would buy it if I had unlimited funds and unlimited closet space and many more fabulous places to wear them. But, perhaps one of you ladies are looking for something like this and have many more fabulous places to go! I hope so!
This post contains links to items I really like and receive a few cents for each click. Lucky me!

Thank you Jodie!
Good for you, for putting yourself out there and being comfortable enough to be online and help women with wardrobe design. It’s one of the very real challenges of the middle-aged changing body, …. and the mind. We (women at a certain age) often begin to feel less confident because of our “weird” bodies that don’t slim out as easily, and so try to hide in over-sized, sloppy clothing. Hats off to you! Thanks for being a Real Woman.
Thank you Dee! I think the more we put ourselves out there, the more we realize we’re not weird, we’re just middle-aged and the world needs to see us and deal with us! Thanks for joining the conversation. I love commenters!
That one does look really nice on you.
Thanks Bells!
Totally cute. It would look nice with your hair up, too. Great style
Thanks Sharon. I never thought of that but I believe you are right!
I love this blouse
Yes Laura, it is so pretty and flattering. Thanks for commenting!
Hello! For just being in a dressing room, you’re taking some pretty good shots I’d say- this blouse looks great on you & I especially like the flounced hem on it. The colors also look real good with your hair color too! I’m liking the title for this post as well! Stay warm, C.
Thanks Cathy! It’s at the JCP in Green Oak Mall if you’re interested for yourself…?
I adore this blouse Julia and would have pushed you to buy it if we were out shopping together(sounds like fun eh?)
Surely you have something that would have worked with this. I seem to recall some white jeans/crops from last summer? I think that would work.
Anyway, it’s an absolute winner in my book and if you find some spare cash down the back of the sofa cushions I’d say – BUY IT!
Have a fab weekend x
Anna
Shopping together sounds like a blast Anna! Yes, I think I would have been pushed quite easily. In fact, just the response from everyone here is making me reconsider not purchasing it! I’m popping over to see what you’ve been up to lately besides swimming!
