Ahhhhh Fall!

Hey everyone! How serene do these pictures look? I want to re-do my senior pictures with these! Of course, I’m closer to the one definition of “senior” than the high school version!

Anyway, you’ve seen all of these items before. This pretty sweater is made of silk in the knit so it hangs really nicely and has this subtle silk hem which adds a little style to an otherwise basic sweater. It’s also 40% off right now! This sweater also comes in black, mushroom and brown if those colors work with your wardrobe better. It’s also available in plus sizes and in several colors or a long duster version in two green versions and burnt red.

The peep toe booties have been going everywhere I go since they are a perfect transition shoe where it’s too cool to wear the wide open sandals but too warm to start wearing the closed toe version (that will be here soon enough!). I love the beige I have but they are very tempting in olive and a shiny cinnamon.

And finishing with the star of the show purse and my vanilla jeans. I like how these jeans are a soft white rather than my bright white jeans and they have a looser fit in the legs but fit perfectly in the waist. They also have a curvy version. Really, the only thing new in this outfit is the necklace. It has a real pressed flower under the glass. It’s a fun little pop of color I’m wearing more than I thought I would. Several pretty versions here and here.

So, my husband has headed back down to North Carolina. It was a fun week and nice to have him home for an extended time. The saying goodbye though is not fun at all, as I’m sure you all can imagine. But, we’re soldiering on and we’ll keep moving towards our goal of living in the same state eventually! I hope North Carolina’s autumn is as beautiful as this one! Have a great week everyone!

    1. Oh good Carole! I’m glad you’re having fun shopping and finding cute things! My sister lives in Hillsborough outside of Durham and I have enjoyed your area many times and really hope to get down there sooner or later to really explore the area. Perhaps we’ll see your shopping successes at next year’s blog birthday party!

  2. We ought to start our own version of “senior” photos, right Julia!!! That’s so funny you said that!!
And what a perfect outfit for the season. I’ve been so surprised that I’ve been loving the peep toe booties, but this is exactly the time when they come in handy!!

  3. What a pretty palette for fall!

Funny I did a shoot at a spot that looks very much like your location, a little fenced docky thing over the water,,,but mine was still water and yours looks like its over some mild rapids. It must sound lovely there.

My daughter recently went to a wedding in West Virginia and sent me some landscapey pictures and the foliage was amazing, I was so surprised! I think you might be pleasantly surprised, as well. I know you’re not moving to WV but they’re kinda close.

    How’s packing going??

    1. Well, most of our house is already packed up and in a storage unit. Really, what we have left is the necessities and items needed to “stage” the house. We did all of the work this spring preparing for a quick sale and quick move. Oh well. At least I’m seeing a beautiful fall here. Can’t wait to see your photos. I loved the post about walking over the bridge!

    1. I was wondering when they started to change color b/c Dave said it was still pretty green there so it’s good to know that this year it’s late. I’ve got to think with all the forests there it’s a beautiful color change. Hopefully next fall I’ll see it in person!

  4. You look beautiful! That jacket is a perfect fit for you – which size did you choose? I lived in North Carolina, and loved it there!
