Hey everyone! To finish up 2016, I thought I’d show you some of my favorite photos of the year that didn’t make it into the blog. We have found that when we photograph we get distracted by the surroundings. We often have to remind ourselves that the outfit is the star of the photo (ok, maybe I say I am the star, but you know what I mean). So, even though these pictures were good, they don’t serve the purpose of the blog. However, I think they deserve a mention and should be enjoyed. These are the interesting and beautiful surroundings we found ourselves in this year…
That’s my wrap-up of 2016 and I’ll be back in 2017 with some new things for the blog that I’m excited about. I didn’t know where this blog was going when I started, but now I’ve got some great ideas and will be implementing them in the new year that I believe will add to this community we’ve created here! Stay tuned and happy new year!
This quick run-through was really interesting in that we see a year’s worth of outfits, some more flattering, some less so (by your own admission). Assuming you have stayed the same weight and height and shape, it’s a great tutorial on style and what can be achieved. I appreciate your very straight-forward “do this, not this” illustrated advice!
Thank you for what you’re doing, and happy new year!
It was fun seeing these pictures. Amazing backgrounds that were too interesting to leave unposted. I hardly ever pay attention to what is in the background when I take pics, until I put them on the computer and get a close up review of what was going on in the background…often very surprising.
I just discovered your blog and am really enjoying it. Great fashion tips.
I WANT A BUTTERFLY BENCH!!! I feel like I’m shouting at you a lot lately 🙂
I love seeing the non-outfit shots as well cuz they’re part of your day and your life…and while the clothing is nice, I really only continue following blogs where I feel like I like the PERSON, know what I mean? So I want to see EVERYTHING 🙂
Gawd, stop shouting! Just kidding. I see it as enthusiastic talking. I totally agree with you about getting to know the person. If it’s just generic or commercial outfits, I lose interest. I just want to learn about where other people live and how they live, so I try to put some of that into my blog. However, I don’t want to bore people with my average life so I keep it to a minimum.
Hello. I just disovered you blog and I like it. How wonderful that you show everyday fashion for woman who is not 180cm tall and too skinny. And also cloths that is afordable for most woman. Wish you a happy new year. I will be back.
