Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend because I sure did! My husband came home and we went “up north” to Michigan’s wine country with another couple and had a blast! It is so nice when the husbands get along but these two are besties!
So, it was beautiful weather the first day and now that I have my husband/photographer in town for a few days I am getting all the photographs I can from him!
You’ve seen this top before. It’s “the fixer” since I can wear it over any other top and it fixes the bottom layer. I’m wearing a sleeveless burgundy top you’ve seen many times (like here) so it blends really nicely with the fixer. This top has stretch so it works over my bust but is still lace fabric, so kind of stiff and hangs nicely.
I have found some super adorable pink pants! I’ve been looking for a light pink pair and I love how these have the buttons up the ankle. The pants are on sale now even though I paid full price so if you’re interested do not delay! I’m not quite ready for full length pants yet and find these ankle length flattering and a fun way to show off cute shoes!
And you’ve seen my purse already many times (get ready for more in the future!) but it adds so much to an outfit! Such a pop of color! I’m having so much fun with it.
I’ll leave you with some of the pictures from this weekend trip. Northern Michigan is so beautiful in the fall with all the hardwoods changing color and the rolling hills and lakes. Really a beautiful part of the country. Enjoy!

Thank you Kathryn! You are always so sweet!
What a fabulous color combination, Julia!! And yay to have your photographer back. We get so spoiled to have them help out, don’t we?
Love the wine country, and of course you should wear burgundy when you go to a vineyard—ha ha!!
XOXO

Yes, I appreciate him so much more when he’s gone… 🙂 !
I remember that bag!! It’s the “put a smile on my face when I’m using it” bag 🙂
Yes it is and it still does! Such a sunny color though so distracting! Thanks for reading Sheela!
Julia, what beautiful country and beautiful outfits! Looks like such a fun weekend. Thanks for sharing 🙂
My pleasure Susan!
Five minutes ago I read a comment on a blog saying that the person had returned from Paris yesterday, and that the color on the street is mustard/gold. So your bag reflects the very latest in fashion.
Oh good then I’ll be in style for a while! I find the trend in Paris hits the US about one year later so no new purses needed. Darn!
Burgundy and mustard are a dream together Julia and especially when the top is lace like this one. You look lovely in this outfit, but also the cobalt blue is stunning with your hair colour. How lovely for you to have your hubby home for a quick break. Looks like you all had great fun.
Have a good week!
