Hey everyone! I hear a lot of the US is getting snow today so here is a snowy picture in solidarity with the other areas getting the snow (like the south, even my husband down in Charlotte!). This was taken Monday but today is sunny and blue skies. Oh my gawd, why do I keep talking about the weather so much? Erg! You turn 50 and your main conversation topic is weather. Next thing you know I’m going to be talking about traffic. Help me!
Anyway, onto clothing. You’ve seen it all before but look how cute everything looks together! I love these boots. They are a definite fashionista addition to my wardrobe and can make even a mediocre outfit look like high fashion! If you have wide calves like me (17″) and slim ankles these will fit well. They also have them in black suede and black leather.
The dress (now only $56!) is the pretty blue one you’ve seen before several times (like here). It’s sooo easy to wear and I’m actually wearing a size 14 where usually I wear a size 16. It has stretch in the fabric and I love the pretty lace at the hem. There is also one with a v-neck available for 1/2 off and in red, green and black!
Yes, it’s the sweater I bought in September and knew I would wear a lot (as you have seen!). I have the same one in black and gray but once I had this color I knew it would be my go-to sweater. White House Black Market starts selling these in the fall, and they always have black, but they introduce a new color in the fall. We’ll see what next year’s favorite sweater color will be!
I’ve added my blue clutch and tried both a dark blue velvet scarf and necklace with this outfit. I prefer the scarf for a more edgy look but the necklace makes this a very office-appropriate outfit.
Good luck to all of you who are newbies to snow. It’s pretty to look at, but quite the opposite to drive in (see? I’m starting to talk about traffic! Ugh!). See you all on Friday!

This is one of my favorite photo shoots of yours of all time! I love the outfit, I love the snow! Oh my gosh those boots are SO stunning, I’m sure I’ve said that before, but really. I think this outfit is gorgeous on you.
And you left off HEALTH! Old people, I mean, we, talk about our HEALTH – or the lack thereof.
We’re having a little snow today, too. And my feet hurt. Ha ha!

Oh my gosh, health yes! Well, I guess I’ll be talking about that soon! And thank you for the compliments about the photo shoot. It was actually a pretty easy one since that’s my front yard. I’ll be visiting your blog shortly!
These pics took my breath away! So beautiful with the snow falling; in your burgundy sweater/boots. Absolutely stunning ensemble!! Hope the sweater
for next fall will be the “Ultra Violet” Pantone color of 2018. Like the pearl
necklace for contrast. Also agree with Bette about the Health topic 🙂
Ha ha Kay! I can’t stand it when people talk about health issues so that means I will probably be doing it soon! And I think you are falling for these photos because you’re in Texas so the snow seems romantic! Of course, it is snowing all over the south so maybe you are getting some!
Long time no visit sweetie, but what a treat to see you and the snow! You look fabulous in this perfectly styled outfit. I love the marriage of colours, and also those boots.
And you’re just like me, talking about the weather at the drop of a hat! It’s my main topic of conversation, but heck, what will happen to me once I’m 60? What will I start talking about then?!

We’ll probably be talking about the nightly news right? But, I really hope not. I would prefer to talk about ocean swimming, art, wine, books and music. I am determined to visit your island one day!
Those boots are amazing Julia!!
And I’m so glad you’re wearing items from your closet. I still have to purge mine, and figure out what needs to stay and what needs to go!!

I knew you’d love the boots Jodie! It’s been actually kind of fun styling the outfits in more than one way. It takes a little more time but forces me to try unexpected combinations.
You look beautiful in that outfit in the snow. And I ditto Bettye about the health issues. It seems that is all my husband and I discuss these days — what is aching. But, we’re 61 so you have a few years to stick to the weather.
Ok Terrie I’ll start boning up on my Web MD lingo! I often cut my husband off when he starts whining about aches and pains so I’m not a very good participant in those conversations. Thanks for saying I look beautiful though!
A very flattering outfit! I have the v-neck dress in black, and I think it’s flattering as well. I paid a lot more for it than its current price, so if anyone’s thinking about buying, grab it. It’s well worth the money!
Yeah, me too Barb. I paid full price. Of course, I’ve worn it often in the fall and winter so I guess I can’t complain. And don’t you love the stretch and weight of the fabric? Totally flattering!
Oh goodness we Brits talk of the weather constantly . You are so brave having a shoot in the snow. Adorable look though. Thank you for braving it for us.

Ha ha! Not sure if it’s bravery exactly…….
